Suri-ously Strange Behaviour
Blog by Danielle McGimsie, Wednesday, April 26, 2006
Yes, this blog is yet another internet post about TomKat and their new baby Suri. I know enough is enough already, but I can’t help myself. Since publicly proclaiming their love for each other, rumors surrounding Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have been rampant. Allegations that their relationship was an “agreement”, that Katie wasn’t really pregnant and that it was all a very elaborate publicity stunt. Their new found love was claimed to be a win-win situation: Katie aligning herself with Tom increases her star power, Tom getting caught up in a whirlwind romance and having a baby puts and end to the rumors that he’s gay and everyone benefits. The “plan” was to time the birth around the time of the release of Tom’s new movie, “Mission: Impossible III” in an effort to boost buzz for the film. Sounds pretty ridiculous, doesn’t it? However in light of recent events, it’s hard to know what to make these two. Tom insisting Katie stayed silent while giving birth; not speaking to the baby for a week after it was born and Tom’s plan to eat the placenta are all examples seemingly abnormal behaviour. Combining the above rumors with Tom’s recent conduct (Oprah, Matt Lauer), has left a lot of people wondering - does a fake pregnancy really seem that ridiculous for TomKat? Who knows. Rumors can be just that – hearsay, fabrication or lies. Whatever the case may be, we’ll never know for sure. Baby Suri is happy and healthy and I’m sure Tom and Katie will be understanding, supportive and loving parents to their little girl – and when it comes down to it, that’s all that matters.
