Poor Sylvie from Alberta had the dubious honor of being the first girl eliminated from Canada’s Next Top Model. I have to say I was shocked at the judge’s choice – in my opinion she had one of the strongest pictures. If anyone should’ve gone home it was Sisi – her picture was by far the worst, not to mention the creepy faces she was making during the shoot. I do have to agree with the panel on Sylvie’s appearance though….I just met her in person and had an uncontrollable urge to brush her hair. She told me that the judges mistook her laidback western style for a bad attitude. Trust me, this girl is all cool and no attitude. She’s into sports and gave me the scoop on her newest hobby, belly dancing! And you gotta give it to her for not crying when she left – loved that!
I’m telling you, Tenika is D-I-V-A. I couldn’t believe the stuff coming out of her mouth – my favourite quote being: “I’m bigger than Newmarket, I’m bigger than Canada.” My advice to Tenika: wait a few weeks, win a few challenges and get some praise from the judges before you start going all Jade on us.
Miss Heather certainly turned it out last night! Winning the walking challenge and being selected as the girl with the most potential by a top modeling scout. She’ll be the one to watch in the coming weeks.
The first tears of the season were shed by shy, insecure Andrea. I think in a few weeks this girl is going come out of her shell, find her confidence and rock it! If/when that happens, I hope every person who ever bullied her is sitting at home, stuffing their faces with greasy potato chips wearing ripped sweatpants watching her shine.
Next week is my favourite episode of the season – it’s make-over time and you can bet there’ll be tears, trauma and drama!
