Wow what drama!!
While Dina and I were interviewing the winners and presenters of the MMVA's in the press room, the match between Tori and Mary Jo had already started!
So this is what happened.
Tori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott were invited to the MMVA's because Tori was presenting an award.
Mary Jo Eustace and her TV co-host Ken Kostic came to the party as guests of another invited guest.
So now we've got Tori, her husband Dean and his ex-wife Mary Jo.... Not a good mix.
Tori saw Mary Jo and had security remove her from the party. According to Mary Jo, Tori told security that there's a restraining order against her... Which Mary Jo denies.
Now while Tori is ripping Mary Jo on national television at the awards, I was next door with Mary Jo in an office watching the show on a tiny TV. Whoa, she was not happy.
We talked and talked and I eventually convinced her to go back into the party.
Dina meanwhile was sipping champagne with Tori and Dean in our V.I.P. lounge, talking to them about how great of a couple they are. When I got back from my "exclusive" with Mary Jo, I met up with Dina and the newlyweds and they were gloating about their relationship.
Now that's entertainment!
The whole thing in my mind is pretty immature... From Mary Jo showing up, to Tori dissing her husbands ex wife... necessary?? No.
What's more, Entertainment Tonight (the US version) and E! News wants Star! Daily's interviews with Mary Jo, Tori and Dean!
Its amazing... Three celebs who weren't really on the minds of anyone, are now the talk of the town!
I should also note that Tori has a movie coming out, and Mary Jo has a book on "betrayal" that's being published.
Hmmm... Did we just get played??
That's the power of gossip, the power of media and the power of celebrity.
