A while back I wrote a bit called "EX-LOOSE-IVE".
It basically stems from my interview with Nelly Furtado in Barbados. One of our competitors called their interview "exclusive", which of course is completley untrue.
Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse --
It does.
Another competitor is claiming their interview with Mary Jo Eustace is an exclusive.
For those of you who don't know what the story is -- Basically, Tori Spelling and Mary Jo are fueding over Dean McDermott (Tori's hubby, Mary Jo's ex).
Now I'm proud to say that Star! Daily did have the EXCLUSIVE (yes I even bolded the word) interview with Mary Jo Eustace.
In fact our interview was SO exclusive that "The Insider" and "E! News" in the States used our interview.
So imagine my disbelief when I hear last night on TV --"Our exclusive interview with Mary Jo Eustace" and my personal favourite
"We're your source for everything Mary Jo Eustace".
Not only does it sound lame... Its a lie!!
Am I the only one left with morals in this biz?!
Here's a secret for you readers out there...
The word "exclusive" is so loosely used that its losing its meaning. The shows who use this word carelessly, are the shows that are doing anything to keep you watching...D There's a word for that -- esperate.
Its like crying wolf... Don't be fooled, you're smarter than that!
Just so you know... We will only use the word "exclusive" when we actually have an exclusive.
And that my friends is a promise!
