Beyonce is coming out with a new album and I got to be among the first to listen to it in New York.
Now here's how it went down --
A handful of the press, mainly Japanese media were in a studio where Beyonce recorded the album at Sony Music in New York. There was refreshments, food, and a Beyonce highlight reel playing in the background.
Beyonce's dad/manager came in and greeted us all and played us each track one by one. I thought that was cool because he's the "new and improved" version of Joe Jackson. He'll go down in history as the man who helped create and shape one of the biggest pop stars in history.
Now here's where it gets good... After the listening session I was fortunate enough to be the first to interview Beyonce.
I walk in this huge black room surrounded by publicists, make up people, sound people, camera people and well, just a lot people. And in the back with a bright light shining on her face was the one and only Beyonce.
In front of her was an empty seat... My seat.
Now normally when I interview celebs, I can tell that for the most part they're done up on film, or in magazines, they seldom look as good in person.
Well not Beyonce.
She is breathtaking.
Surprisingly she's very soft spoken and calm yet when she's on stage she's larger than life.
It was amazing to think that this quiet, beautiful creature is capable of entertaining the world.
All I have to say is Jay-Z is one lucky lucky ... He's just lucky.
