Date auction: win Miley Cyrus
Wednesday, July 23, 2008The hottest item to hit eBay this week... is a date with teen icon Miley Cyrus. In an effort to raise awareness and support for disadvantaged children, the Hannah Montana star is auctioning off a night-on-the-town. The prize includes attending the premiere of the 15-year-old's animated Disney film Bolt opening Nov. 26 in Los Angeles, as well as a Disneyland family vacation, according to eBay.com. Tuesday evening the bidding began and the highest offer so far is a modest $2,000, but fans still have until July 29 to empty their wallets. All proceeds will go directly to Cyrus's family charity, Pappy Cyrus Family Foundation, which solely supports underprivileged kids. The daughter of country sensation Billy Ray Cyrus is the Queen of teen drama, recently receiving positive and negative attention for her controversial photo spread in Vanity Fair magazine. Although she regrets posing nude (with a sheet covering her body), it has boosted her fame. Breakout, the first album Cyrus co-wrote that has no connection to Hannah Montana, was released on July 22.
