Divorce for Freeman
Thursday, August 07, 2008After 24 years Morgan Freeman and his wife Myrna Colley-Lee are ending their marriage. The actor's lawyer, Bill Lucket, told Memphis's Commercial Appeal on Wednesday, there is a "divorce action impending." Further details have not been released. Currently the ex-couple reside in a ranch outside Charleston, Miss., close to the actor's birth place. On Sunday night the 71-year-old Dark Knight star was seriously injured, along with mutual friend Demaris Meyer, 48, in a car accident. Police are unsure of why Freeman lost control of the vehicle, but confirm alcohol and drugs were not involved. The big-screen star is recovering at Regional Medical Center in Memphis with minor injuries including; a broken arm, elbow, and nerve and tissue damage. But Freeman is bouncing back quickly.
