Wednesday, August 13, 2008Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer have ended their steamy romance, according to People.com. Was it just puppy love? The pair have been inseparable since they hooked up in April. The actress, 39, was the singer's groupie; attending his concerts, singing along to his music and sneaking backstage for kisses. And the blues musician, 30, tagged along for dinners with friends Courtney Cox Arquette and hubby David, as well as attending benefits and galas. "They had a great time together but they are just in different places in their lives right now," a source close to the couple told People.com. A few weeks ago, rumours were circulating that Aniston was ready to settle down, tie the knot and start a family, whereas Mayer is just in the middle of his career, enjoying his independence. Although UK's The Mirror reported on Wednesday that the split was final, Mayer's friend said, "He never ends things with a clean slate.
