Thursday, August 14, 2008Christina Applegate is postponing chemotherapy treatment with plans to conceive a child first, according to Star magazine. The Samantha Who? actress recently revealed she had breast cancer, but that didn't derail her plans to start a family. "I'm at the age where, biologically, it calls me a lot. I don't want to wait until I'm in my mid-40s," the 36-year-old small-screen star said during an interview in July. The Married… with Children alum has been dating a musician for several months, and a close friend says Applegate plans to conceive with him and then start treatment after the birth. "A baby is the most important thing in the world to Christina right now," the source told Star magazine. "She doesn't want to expose her body to chemo or radiation until after she gives birth." Although, most doctors would recommend starting cancer treatment immediately, Applegate is going with her gut and listening to her heart. "She's like this tiny little thing. But she's bionically strong," Samantha Who? co-star Melissa McCarthy told OK! magazine. Summary by: Jocelyn Nespiak for Star! News Photograph courtesy Getty Images/Stephen Shugerman |
