Wednesday, September 03, 2008Hollywood sweetheart Jennifer Aniston is returning to the small-screen on an episode of 30 Rock, according to Usmagazine.com. The 39-year-old Friends veteran is dubbed to play Claire Harper, "a free-spirited, Fatal Attraction-like stalker," NBC said in a statement Tuesday. The character – Liz Lemon's (Tina Fey) former roommate – unexpectedly pops up in New York and pursues Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin). Jennifer is not only incredibly lovely... she has what the young people would call 'mad skills'," creator, executive producer and star Tina Fey said. "We're very excited that she's joining us." The Emmy Award-winner's personal life has been a central topic in tabloids since her marriage to Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt ended three years ago. Although Aniston seems to fail at love – recently breaking up with singer John Mayer – she succeeds in her career. On the big-screen the California-born beauty has starred in numerous comedies including; Rumour Has It, (the ironically titled) The Break-Up with ex-boyfriend Vince Vaughn, and Friends with Money. Aniston has also stuck to her small-screen roots, making guests appearances on shows Dirt, South Park and King of the Hill. Canadians can expect to see this A-list star north of the border from Sept. 4 to 13 for The Toronto International Film Festival. Aniston stars in Stephen Belber's romantic comedy Management, set to premiere this Sunday. Summary by: Jocelyn Nespiak for Star! News Photograph courtesy Getty Images/Mark Davis |
