Thursday, October 30, 2008David Beckham is hoping to spend the winter in Italy – keeping up his physique with European soccer team AC Milan. "The MLS (Major League Soccer) season doesn't run as long... having played most of my career in Europe, my body has been trained... not to have that amount of time off," the British football player stated on his blog. "It also gives me the chance to keep my fitness up... for when I come back to Galaxy." In July 2007 Beckham, 33, started playing for U.S. Major League Soccer club Los Angeles Galaxy. The Beckham clan, including wife Victoria, 34, and their three sons, Brooklyn, 9, Romeo, 6, and Cruz, 3, then left their London manor permanently and bought a villa in celebrity haven Beverly Hills. Rumours are circulating about the family's possible move to the Mediterranean coast, but the six-foot midfielder shot down that speculation. "There's already plenty of talk that I've bought a house out there and that I'm buying a jet, none of which is true." Negotiations continue between Beckham and AC Milan.
