Wednesday, November 12, 2008American Idol judge Paula Abdul has lost one of her biggest fans. Paula Goodspeed, a 30-year-old woman who reportedly stalked the singer for several years, was found dead Tuesday evening in a parked car outside Abdul's Los Angeles home. "I am deeply saddened and shocked about what transpired yesterday," the 46-year-old entertainer told Usmagazine.com in a statement. "My heart and prayers go out to her family." The L.A. Police Department received a call – unconfirmed reports claim it was from Goodspeed's parents – and found the body of the woman around 6 p.m. According to TMZ.com, a suspected cause of death is suicide by drug overdose. Abdul's rep told Entertainment Tonight that the woman was an extreme fan with serious "issues". Apparently Goodspeed's licence plate read "ABL LV". She also had a picture of the New York-born performer hanging from the rear-view mirror. Abdul was at work while the incident occurred and returned home hours after the scene had cleared.
