Monday, December 22, 2008Summary by: Jocelyn Nespiak for Star! News Even the greatest make-up artist can't conceal grief... Todd Homme, one of the final three contestants on Lifetime's reality show Blush: The Search for the Next Great Make-up Artist, died suddenly in his Manhattan apartment on Dec. 13, just days before the finale aired in the U.S. Host Vanessa Marcil was shocked and saddened after hearing the tragic news. "I was totally floored," she told TVGuide.com. "He was just a kid... so young." The cause of death is unknown, and no drugs or alcohol were found on the scene. Uncomfirmed reports claim that Homme, 23, was suffering from heart problems. "The interesting thing is that I, for some reason, had this huge connection with Todd — which of course now is really sad. But something about him was just really kind and beautiful and open," said Marcil. Although rumours indicate Homme committed suicide after losing the competition, his partner, Neal Krogh, 34, confirms otherwise. "He was happy and exuberant and his usual full-of-life self," he told Newsday.com. |
