Thursday, May 08, 2008The chaos is finally coming to an end... with Amy Winehouse locked behind bars. On Wednesday the 24-year-old was arrested on suspicion of drug possession... and it's about time. The singer's spokesperson, Chris Goodman, said the arrest is directly related to a video police were handed earlier this year that captured Winehouse taking drugs. The erratic singer was filmed inhaling fumes from a pipe at a house party. "Amy Winehouse voluntarily attended a London Police station today by appointment. She was arrested in order to be interviewed and is cooperating fully with inquiries," Goodman said in a statement Wednesday. Last January still images from the video were published in Britain's The Sun tabloid. Captions claimed the photographs were of Winehouse inhaling drugs, but weren't confirmed. However, just days after the images went public Winehouse entered a London rehabilitation centre. The Grammy winner known for singing "Rehab" is more recently known for having a turbulent lifestyle, battered love life, and drug addictions. Summary by: Jocelyn Nespiak for Star!
