Tuesday, June 24, 2008The reports are false: Sex and the City's Cynthia Nixon did not have breast augmentation despite the rumour that the New York Post published Monday. "I was in the oncology department," she told New York's Daily News. The actress, 42, has been battling breast cancer and said she was there for a check-up. "I guess they think that means 'plastic surgery.'" The false story claims the red-haired sass visited a New York City hospital "on the quietest day of the week" for surgery. Nixon, A.K.A. Miranda, who bared her breasts in the new SATC movie, responded, "If I was going to get a boob job, wouldn't it make sense that I'd get it before Sex and the City?" The actress continued on to say that the story was "annoying and disheartening" particularly because she's been so open about her battle with cancer. On a lighter note: Nixon dropped hints that she is open to wedding girlfriend Christine Marinoni, but would like to do it in New York. "Hopefully it won't take 20 years," she said.
