Wednesday, June 25, 2008Britney Spears was granted a wish on Tuesday – the right to spend more time with her kids. In a closed-Los Angeles court hearing the pop star was given overnight privileges with her sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 20 months. (The last time the 26-year-old mom spent the night with her kids was in January – just before her forced hospitalization at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre.) Kevin Federline, the singer's ex and father to her boys, attended the hearing, but, reportedly, did not speak to Spears. L.A. Superior Court spokesperson Allan Parachini confirmed that the blonde beauty's parenting coach attended the session as well, making statements to the court about Spears' progress. Full details have not been released, but a source confirmed to People.com, that Spears now has overnight rights. Usmagazine.com also asked the fiery femme if she was happy with the outcome and with a smile she said, "Yes." Spears and K-Fed continue their ongoing custody battle in a hearing set for July 15, but if they cannot settle their case out of court, they face a custody trial in August.
